Chuck Doan – Director
As Director Chuck is responsible for overall planning, direction, and management of SIJCTP. Chuck’s law enforcement background includes serving with the Carbondale Police Department from 1977 to 2001. During this time, he gained a comprehensive range of experience serving in a variety of roles including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, Field Supervisor, Crime Scene Investigator, Training Officer, Accreditation Manager, Field Training Coordinator, and Special Response Team Member & Team Leader. Chuck joined SICJTP in 2001 as a Police Training Specialist and was appointed Executive Director in 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in the Administration of Justice and an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is also a graduate with the 192nd Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Dave Rednour – Field Assistant
Dave Brings over 20 years of experience in law enforcement including having served as a Police Officer, Investigator, Warden, and Police Chief, having worked for local agencies in Illinois and in Washington DC. Past positions also include working for federal law enforcement in Bethesda, Maryland and for the Illinois State Police and Illinois Department of Corrections. Dave is assigned to the MTU 15 Headquarters in Carbondale.
John Bennett – Field Assistant
John retired as a Lieutenant with the Charleston, Illinois Police Department having served with Charleston PD for 28 years. John is a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association. John is a consultant with The Virtus Group. John has trained police officers for more than 25 years, both nationally and abroad. John continues to teach and learn in the field with the primary emphasis on use of force, officer-safety, risk management, leadership, and a philosophy of proactive police service, individual readiness and professionalism. John is assigned to the MTU 15 satellite office in Effingham.
Kim Cramer – Office Manager
Kim is responsible for bookkeeping, membership dues, and general office administration. Kim has over 20 years of experience in small business administration, reporting, and bookkeeping.
Mary Beth Perring – Office Assistant
Mary Beth is responsible for managing MTU 15’s portion of the statewide LETM database, including attendance records, training announcements, and certificates. Her background includes 35 years working with technical firms in marketing administration, including managing databases, mailing lists, and websites.
Mobile Team Unit 15 serves 151 agencies, with over 1,500 individual members, covering the following 27 counties:
