This is the official website of the Southern Illinois Criminal Justice Training Program, Mobile Unit Team 15.  We hope our member agencies find this site to be a useful resource for information such our most current training offerings.  Additionally it is a resource for some of the forms necessary for Course Enrollment or conducting other business with MTU 15.  This site also provide you with links to other important sites and documents.

PTB ID Number

The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board has assigned each police officer in the state an individual, unique identification number, "PTB ID Number", to better maintain comprehensive training records without risk to the officers identity or other personal information.  That number may  be found at the following link:

Pedestrian Stop Card

PA 99-352 - the Police and Community Relations Improvement Act.  Effective January 1, 2016 police officers in Illinois will be required to document the detention made of certain pedestrians.  Here's a link to that law and a "Stop Card", for documenting that detention, devised by I.D.O.T.

September Advisory Board Meeting

The MTU 15 Quarterly Advisory Board meeting for September has been rescheduled to
September 13.

As all Board Meetings, it begins at 10:00 a.m. and is held at Ryan's Restaurant in Mt. Vernon.

Our Mission

The Southern Illinois Criminal Justice Training Program,
Mobile Team Unit 15, strives to improve the quality of law enforcement services provided by its member agencies through the delivery of high quality law enforcement training to the individual members of those agencies.

MTU 15 also strives to increase the level of officer safety and to reduce potential liability, for both the individual members and their agencies, through the delivery of such training.
