Police Officer - Patrol Division

Responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for service, enforcing laws and ordinances, conducting investigations, and ensuring the safety and security of the community.

Requirements: U.S. Citizen, valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, successful completion of background check and physical agility test.

Detective - Investigations Unit

Conducts investigations into criminal activities, gathers evidence, interviews witnesses and suspects, and prepares cases for prosecution. Requires strong investigative skills and attention to detail.

Requirements: Prior law enforcement experience, excellent investigative and report writing skills, may require specific certifications.

SRO - School Resorce Officers

A sworn law enforcement officer assigned to a school, serving as a liaison between the school and the community, and focusing on maintaining a safe learning environment through law enforcement, education, and community outreach. They are a friend and mentor to students, educate students on crime prevention, safety measures.

Requirements: Prior law enforcement experience, excellent investigative and report writing skills. Certified Juveile Officer and SRO certification.

K-9 - Units

A K-9 or canine officer, is a law enforcement officer who handles and uses the skills of a trained police dog (K9) to assist in various duties, including drug detection, suspect apprehension, and explosive identification.

Requirements: K9 officers undergo extensive training, both in basic police procedures and in the specific techniques required to handle and utilize their canine partner.

Corrections (Jail Staff)

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates within the jail setting. This includes monitoring inmate activities, conducting searches, processing admissions and releases, and ensuring compliance with all facility policies and procedures. Strong observation skills and the ability to follow established protocols are essential for maintaining order and security.

Requirements: U.S. Citizen, valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, successful completion of background check and physical agility test.

Telecommunications 911 Operator

Make a direct and crucial impact on the safety of our community. We are seeking skilled and dedicated individuals to serve as Telecommunications 911 Operators. In this fast-paced environment, you will utilize advanced communication systems to answer emergency calls, obtain essential details, and efficiently dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical services. Excellent active listening, clear and concise communication, and the ability to multitask are essential. You will play a critical role in connecting those in need with the help they require, often in life-threatening situations.

Requirements:Ability to successfully complete required training programs, which may include classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and certifications. Willingness to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as emergency services operate 24/7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and concise speech. Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions in emergency situations. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phones, typing, and dispatching.
