Chuck is a retired police officer having served 24 years with the Carbondale, IL Police Department.  During his Law Enforcement career Chuck was assigned to Patrol, Investigations, Training Officer, Field Training Officer, Field Training Coordinator, Accreditation Manager and Patrol Unit Supervisor.  He earned his A.A. degree in Law Enforcement  and  B.S. degree in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale.  Chuck is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, 192nd session.  Chuck joined MTU 15 in July of 2001.

Chuck coordinates, facilitates and develops many of the training activities at MTU 15.  He acts as Lead Instructor on a variety of subject matters including:  Mandatory Firearms Training, Patrol Rifle, TASER, Arrestee and Subject Control Techniques, OC Aerosol Defense Systems, Specialty Impact Munitions, Blood Borne Pathogens and Hazardous Materials Awareness.  Chuck also coordinates and administers all POWER tests for both the Part-Time Police Academy and the "Pre-Academy" test for those attending a full-time academy.
Our Mission

The Southern Illinois Criminal Justice Training Program,
Mobile Team Unit 15, strives to improve the quality of law enforcement services provided by its member agencies through the delivery of high quality law enforcement training to the individual members of those agencies.

MTU 15 also strives to increase the level of officer safety and to reduce potential liability, for both the individual members and their agencies, through the delivery of such training.
